Biography

Madalyn remembers a dark and mysterious oil portrait hanging in the room across from her crib; thus began her fascination with art. This passion first found expression in filmmaking and cinema. She began her studies of how to draw and paint at the Honolulu Museum of Art School with Mark Norseth. She has continued to expand her practical art education by taking workshops with Alex Kanevsky, Edwige Fouvry, Vincent Desiderio, Jennifer Pochinsky, Catherine Kehoe, and Denis Sarazhin. She holds a B.A. from Stanford University, an M.F.A from N.Y.U. School of the Arts, and a J.D. from the University of Hawaii.
